NPC POST: YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND
[ When the video feed turns on, it's a wide shot of Honir standing there wearing this with his arms outstretched. He turns in a little circle before facing the camera again, and the whole time, there's this gleeful grin on his face like he's having the time of his life. ]
Look at this! Isn't it fun?
[ He finally clamors closer to the camera, sitting in frame to beam his enthusiasm directly to your screen. ]
You mortals have so many different ways of covering your bodies. I don't really get it, but it's still exciting. This one feels nice! It's called a hanfu, they said.
[ He lifts his arms again and flaps them just a little, looking from side to side with joyful amusement at the prospect of… sleeves? Apparently? ]
What other clothes do you have? Can I try them?
[ A… totally normal question from a totally normal… god?? ]
[ OOC: responses will likely be slow as is my norm, sorry ;; but this is a silly small thing I wanted to toss up real quick! Ye Zun taught the natives how to make this traditional Chinese garb, and other characters are welcome to introduce elements of their own fashion to the city as well! let us know if you have any questions about this on the player plot page! ]

My "fashion" isn't really anything worth trying out. Just jeans and t-shirts, really.
permavid!
[ Something he's still getting used to. :') ]
That's part of what makes this one so nice! Do you want to try one? A few people around the city have been giving it a shot!

"Jeans" when it's pants, my dude. Always plural unless you're talking about the material, then you can say it's jean. Or like a jean jacket.
I mean, I guess I could? Not gonna turn up my nose at free clothes.
[ She's still stuck in that mindset of scarcity and that beggars can't be choosers when it comes to the necessities. Even after being here a couple months and knowing the city is only growing bigger. ]

I don't care what they call that. That is clearly a dress.

[ He seems equally delighted by this (incorrect) update. ]
I like it. Do you have more at home too?

Not in my closet. But perhaps my brother's.

[ The rather ginormous ribbon around his own throat seems to bob in agreement. ]

I don't know what a cravat is but I like ribbons! Do you think I should add one?
[ He's got moon-eyes for the comically large ribbon Vanitas is sporting, for sure. ]

They are nice, but that cut is for a lady and not a gentleman.

[ He looks down at his chest and lifts his arms again. (He really seems to have a lot of fun with that part.) ]
What's the difference? And how do you tell if a man is gentle by his clothes?

[The dawning rage of someone realising they weren't invited to the hanfu party. How come Honir gets a hanfu before her???? These are her style of clothes!!!!!!]
I want one of those, where'd you get that?! Give me a hanfu and I'll show you more styles where that came from. [Wen Qing pronounces hanfu with the same cadence and tones as Ye Zun did, if Honir feels like making that observation.]
permavid!
Okay! Do you want to come here? Or do you want me to bring some there? Or -

Do you not wear any clothes at all? Because I was going to suggest a trade. [ But just as importantly: ] So if I let you try on my clothes, do I get to watch the fashion show?
no subject
[ Genuinely ecstatic. Bless you, Jim. ]
I have some clothes because my brother says we should wear them, but they're more like the idea of clothes.
[ ??? ]
Which is why I want to hear your ideas! I can make something for you if you want to try it on!

[The Norse, despite being considered lunk-headed barbarians by their enemies, actually were quite fashion conscientious. Clothes denoted status, after all, and Ivar being royalty meant he'd had reason to look his best most of the time.]

Fur, like dead animals, right? I can see that making a very nice cape! Wouldn't it make your hands fuzzy if it was on the inside of gloves, though?
[ Having hands at all is still very strange to him, so he's not sure how that works. ]

video; late as ffffffffffff
Are those meant to be breeches, or a skirt?
[ It's a polite question, not an insult — she's genuinely curious. ]
There's a number of ways the people of my world dress. Would you rather dress like an Essosi or a Westerosi?
[ lol like why would you expect him to know the difference, dany... ]
lateness is an illusion
I don't know a lot of those words but I want to try all of them!
[ To answer both questions with fervent enthusiasm. ]
