[ When the video feed turns on, it's a wide shot of Honir standing there wearing this with his arms outstretched. He turns in a little circle before facing the camera again, and the whole time, there's this gleeful grin on his face like he's having the time of his life. ]

Look at this! Isn't it fun?

[ He finally clamors closer to the camera, sitting in frame to beam his enthusiasm directly to your screen. ]

You mortals have so many different ways of covering your bodies. I don't really get it, but it's still exciting. This one feels nice! It's called a hanfu, they said.

[ He lifts his arms again and flaps them just a little, looking from side to side with joyful amusement at the prospect of… sleeves? Apparently? ]

What other clothes do you have? Can I try them?

[ A… totally normal question from a totally normal… god?? ]

[ OOC: responses will likely be slow as is my norm, sorry ;; but this is a silly small thing I wanted to toss up real quick! [ Cause, uh, “mortals” can’t make themselves smaller or bigger like Jeannie can wiggle her nose to make things happen. ]

[ He lowers his arms so he can wave at her with a bright smile. ]

[ There's the smallest giggle, like it's somewhere between funny and embarrassing. ]

God of...Whimsy. [ Well. He certainly was whimsical. And that giggle, goodness. ] I mean Honir.

I’m Chloe. Got in a few days ago. Feels like I’ve taken a big leap back in time.

[ At that, he actually laughs. He's easily delighted by many (most) things, so it isn't a mean sound at all - more lIke he is endlessly enchanted by the perspective these mortals bring. ]

Well, you're close! It's actually more like you've fallen out of time. In many ways, now that I'm thinking about it.

[ And he does visibly get distracted thinking about it, seemingly zoning out for a second. ]

[ Is he thinking a little too hard on that? Chloe stares, watches, waits. ]

Okay, so since I have you on the line here, I'll ask you. I was going to ask Odin, since that's where I'm situated, but I'm not sure how to approach him with this.

But you have to promise me something first.

[ He blinks back to listen to her right away, but he doesn't really perk up until she mentions Odin's name. It's the excited bounce of hearing about someone you admire. ]

One of my brother's! He would tell me not to make promises I can't keep, you know.

[ Another pause, and then he frowns. ]

Actually, he did tell me not to make any promises we can't keep. Are you asking for one of those?

I don't think so? Unless there's something that's stopping you from telling the truth?

[ He visibly relaxes and even laughs a little. ]

Oh no, I'm very bad at lying. My brother doesn't want us to hide anything from you anyway, but he specifically told me not to try.

[ Because he would only make things worse. :( ]

Oh, yes! Would you like to come here? Or I can go to you!

[ Honir is there instantaneously, but he'll be sitting somewhere in his hanfu, happily waiting for her. ]

[ Well thank goodness she's near the library but not quite there yet. Having someone, god or not, just suddenly appear would startle her. Chloe offers a smile before she cuts the feed, approaching the front of the building within a matter of minutes, and there he is. Hanfu and all.

Okay. Kay. Be cool. Relax. It's just a god, no big deal here. A god, cool, coolcoocoocool.

Here she is, awkward little wave. ]

Hey, ah, so thank you for meeting with me.

[ Honir, for his part, is sitting outside in public wearing hanfu and waving cheerfully at anyone that catches his eye as they pass by him. It's how she catches his attention, actually; there's a moment of surprise before he grins. ]

Chloe! Hello!

[ It's not that he forgot he was waiting for her. Really! The concept of time is just strange, and he got quite comfortable sitting out here. He looks delighted that she's here either way. ]

Hi!

[ She moves closer, hands shoved into the front pockets of her tunic, and then decides that it might be better to cross her arms. There's plenty of room on the bench, she goes to sit, some space between them.

Whether on the network or in person, Honir looks so...cheerful. Huh. ]

So... How are you? Were you busy earlier? Hope I didn't take you from anything too important? You're a god, you're probably always busy.

[ It sucks, it's a terrible trait to have, but when it comes to trying to play cool with someone in a position of higher authority (or they're clearly cooler than her) she tends to get nervous. When she gets nervous, she talks. When she talks, sometimes it plays off as rambling. Like her questions string together without a pause. It had happened with Pierce, her past lieutenant.

[ If there's anyone that can fully relate to going a mile a minute without really stopping to think about it, it's Honir. He just smiles patiently and listens, unphased by her rambling. ]

Oh, I don't know about that. "Always" is a weird word.

[ Mostly because it involves time again. ]

And you Wanderers are the most important thing there is, so I'll go wherever you want!

[ It's… woefully cheesy, but he smiles brightly with full sincerity. ]
