[Sora's either taken a bit to click that he has a new ability. Or he just hadn't said anything about it yet exactly. Which is why he speaks up now. After a longer than usual absence on his end at least, from the network with the bracelets in him piping up to say something.]

Hey guys! Ah, I think I figured a new power again? That's kinda cool? It's...um. I need to bleed to do it though. I think it sort of gives the other person like a boost to get stronger? Or something like that? I bet that'll definitely come in handy!

[He probably discovered this while training in sparring with one of his friends accidentally or something. And yes he did say that was kinda cool. At the cost of weakening himself to aid his friends, of course.....because that is just how Sora rolls. For all that his friends worry about how reckless he can be and how sacrificing he can be if he sees someone else in trouble.]

Oh! Also! I know we've been here a while so most of us have probably had a birthday or have one coming up, right? So everybody knows they gotta have a party with cake and presents and all? I guess I kinda got distracted the other month from having mine...but I'm sixteen now!

[And....totally ignoring that chances are he is not gonna be celebrating that with his friends back home. Actually. Yes. Yes he is. Which is probably at least in part why he never said anything in March, but still. Clearly that he is sixteen now is the important news, guys! Belatedly. Sora just doing his part to cheer everyone up and terrify and worry them all at once of course.]

[ At first there is a mask - ornate and golden it's propped up against a simple tea set. Then there is a set of hairpins, a rather wicked looking weapon made from a dragon's tooth and then it swings up to bring Ye Zun into focus. He looks a little tired, and there is a fading scratch in the center of his forehead right between the eyes, but otherwise none the worse for wear. He gives the network a look and then huffs. ]

So. I had almost expect there to be a rather large amount of you having some heated exchanges about what occurred recently. Or at least some annoying chatter about doing things better, or at least vowing otherwise. Maybe have a little fit. Something. Anything.

But outright ignoring is not what I expected from any of you.

[ His lips curl and he fills a teacup, takes a sip and sighs. ] Honestly. Did you really think that we could have done anything at all once we were there?

And yes I am talking about the cave. I am not going to be silent and let others just wallow in the misery and what ifs of something we had no control over. Please forget things like 'we could have done something' or 'there had to be a different way'. How? In all honesty we are not capable of handling what was there. We have a great deal of power and experience in our hands. We are able to fight and fell beasts beyond our knowledge, but none of us are truly healers. What can we do against diseases?

Especially ones born from tainted magic.

Which means we need to figure out what to do in case this happens again. For it will happen; I cannot think of it not given how much more real we are becoming in the eyes of those realms outside of Asgard. The people of those places will start appearing more often, some with hope, a lot with disdain and I will bet that what happened in that cave will happen again, sooner or later.

So, for those of you who are blind to the energies of that place and what clues left in the cave, I will say this: it's not your fault. There was nothing that could have been done. It had been a baited trapped made by a vile act in order to kill and keep on killing once it was freed from the cave. Argue with me all you wish, but that is what I seen and felt.

[ He ends the feed with a flick of his fingers. ]

[The camera is not on Rhus, but instead on the two mannequins before him, dressed up in fancy garb. And that's what he'll be keeping the device's camera on for the rest of the video, with a bit of wobble here and there as he moves. Or breathes.]

The Ruby Bazaar is open now. 'Tis a tailoring store within the Tyr district-- [A pause, then a grumble. Despite sounding tired, he still has enough vitality in him to grumble low in his throat. Clearly someone doesn't know how to advertise. But he's trying.]

If you need clothing, or any kind of textile product like bedding and furnishings just come by. The building is of red brick, with a sign-- you cant miss it. These two coats on the mannequins will be gone by the end of this month, I shall be offering them off to Skadi and the other gods. But they are not cheap, and they certainly will not be available forever.

Lastly... if anyone knows how to animate objects, I've a fair number of questions for you.

[ ooc: come to the ruby bazaar! feel free to have your character place orders or requests here, or on the ooc page itself. any ic questions can also be placed in this post. ]

( Njord is standing beside Heimdall in what may be familiar to some as the Council Headquarters. Heimdall is reading some notes, lost in thought, while Njord begins the address in steady, soft tones. )

▒█ Wanderers. I’ve been watching with great curiosity as you all learn the magic we have gifted you, and grow accustomed to its uses. We all have, and it seems after some… analysis, that we may still have been holding some piece of that magic back. So, today we are loosening the reins. You should begin to find your magic comes easier now. It may yet not be as strong for some of you as it was before you joined us here, but… stronger than it was. █▒

( You can almost hear the gently teasing smile in Njord’s voice. Heimdall looks up, brow still furrowed in thought. )

▒█ You have all shown great willingness to help us, and an admirable desire to improve things. Today, we are also here to talk about law. It has been noted Asgard has no system in place. █▒

( Njord glances aside, smoothly takes back over. Now, a more serious topic then. He can do the talking. He matches the frown, all business, and makes a sweeping gesture as he takes the lead once more. )

▒█ Perhaps not just law, but the concept of law. There are many different systems you are all familiar with. Each has merits, has flaws. We have had no reason to enforce such a thing but… perhaps it is best not to wait for a reason. You are all passionate individuals, from vastly differing societies. We need a common ground.

So, if you might indulge us… Tell us of the ones you know. If we are to use a system of law here, it should be one chosen by you. Perhaps you can share the best and worst of your own, so we might all learn together.

Just as important, you must decide how they are enforced. Upheld. Who should enforce them. We have… soldiers among you, if you'd prefer to enforce your own laws - but know this. We will not see you harmed. I know some of your homes are more… violent than Asgard, but lethal measures are not an option that we are willing to humor.

Other than that… the floor is yours.
█▒

( His smile is back. With that, it’s over to you. )

[Ivar's in the stables for this broadcast, petting the horse that he usually chooses as his mount. There's a reason he's chosen this particular location as will soon become evident.]

I was told by someone I should tell you stories from my home in an attempt to help this place make more sense. So I shall tell you one, but I warn you I am a warrior first and foremost, so you must forgive me if the tale comes out poorly. I'm sure some of you have been wondering why the horses like Garpr here have eight legs. There is a reason for that in the story they tell back home.

Very long ago, Asgard needed to build a wall to defend itself against things like the giants that roamed the other realms. But how to do it? A builder came to them and offered to do the work within three seasons, asking for the sun, the moon, and the goddess Freyja in exchange. Never ones to turn down a bargain, the Aesir said he could do it, but that he had to complete the work in three seasons. He could have no help save that of his stallion Svaðilfari, a wonderous steed who could pull the mighty stones fast enough that the work would be done just before the deadline was due.

Blaming the trickster god Loki for convincing the gods to allow the horse to help with the work, they told him to solve the problem, lest a terrible punishment be wreaked upon him. The clever god knew of one way to get the work to stop.

Loki transformed himself into a mare and, ah, Svaðilfari realized what kind of a horse she was. He went crazy and tore apart his tackle to pursue her, with his owner chasing after him. The stallion was distracted and went into going into the woods with the disguised god long enough to allow the deadline to pass. [Hey, there's some kids in Asgard, so he's not about to spell everything out. He doesn't want someone yelling at him in case someone like Alice is listening in.]

The builder had to finish the work, but when the Aesir discovered he was a frost giant in disguise, the god Thor was called upon to smash his skull into a thousand pieces rather then give him any payment. [Because it ain't a Norse tale unless some bloodshed is involved.] Loki, still in the form of a mare, later gave birth to a grey foal with eight legs named Sleipnir, who is called the best horse among both mortals and gods. He is Odin's mount, and judging by the horses here, apparently has been prolific in making sure his bloodline continues on. So there you have it, a tale of how a normally male god can be the mother of a horse.

[Look, Norse stories are really weird sometimes, so you all will just have to go with this. They'll only get weirder from here on out.]
