[Sora's either taken a bit to click that he has a new ability. Or he just hadn't said anything about it yet exactly. Which is why he speaks up now. After a longer than usual absence on his end at least, from the network with the bracelets in him piping up to say something.]

Hey guys! Ah, I think I figured a new power again? That's kinda cool? It's...um. I need to bleed to do it though. I think it sort of gives the other person like a boost to get stronger? Or something like that? I bet that'll definitely come in handy!

[He probably discovered this while training in sparring with one of his friends accidentally or something. And yes he did say that was kinda cool. At the cost of weakening himself to aid his friends, of course.....because that is just how Sora rolls. For all that his friends worry about how reckless he can be and how sacrificing he can be if he sees someone else in trouble.]

Oh! Also! I know we've been here a while so most of us have probably had a birthday or have one coming up, right? So everybody knows they gotta have a party with cake and presents and all? I guess I kinda got distracted the other month from having mine...but I'm sixteen now!

[And....totally ignoring that chances are he is not gonna be celebrating that with his friends back home. Actually. Yes. Yes he is. Which is probably at least in part why he never said anything in March, but still. Clearly that he is sixteen now is the important news, guys! Belatedly. Sora just doing his part to cheer everyone up and terrify and worry them all at once of course.]

Uh....when I was sparring and got hit? I'm fine though, it wasn't anything that serious! Just had a bit of a bleeding nose is all.

[It happens. And he's definitely had far worse in dealing with all the fights back home and all.]

Some people have it, some people don't. I think it might have something to do with dying in the cave. I can create some kind of protective force field that people can't penetrate and Jim can send messages telepathically. You can give people an energy boost? I wonder how many different versions of this power there are.

[ How did he and Jim find out about their powers? They cut themselves with a knife. It's fine. Malcolm's definitely not going to tell Sora that though. ]

I've been doing some research about what happened in the cave and I think it ties back to blood magic. I'd be willing to bet that anyone who died in there can now do some kind of magic that involves their blood.

Yeah. He ended up sending me a message by accident and then I found out about my power.

I think it's pretty easy to lose track of time here.

I guess that would make sense if it's only a few of us. Just the ones that were in the cave, then it was probably something in there.

But you're not wrong. I mean I think I kinda can guess around the date but. It can be harder. Especially when they don't celebrate the same holidays necessarily and stuff?

Yeah. I guess that's the trade off? But it's good to know I have it. That I could help Riku or any of you in a fight to get stronger to finish things if I had to!

[There are Reasons everyone is Concerned with these powers and Sora....given his reputation. Sora on the other hand is just glad if it means he figures new ways to try and help out. Even if this tends to mean he gets hurt somehow himself in the process.]

Eheh, thanks! I still need to practice it more, I think, the new power. In figuring limits? That sort of thing but. What else do you think would happen? I bleed, I can help my friends get stronger to finish the fight.

[Obviously with just sparring, Sora hasn't figured the full extent of what he can do in helping if someone was seriously injured like that. Or necessarily knows about these dark arts involving blood that Rhus immediately is reminded of.]

How about strengthening yourself, then? [Even if the boy cant see him, the Miqo'te is crossing his arms over his chest and pacing back and forth in his room, trying to remember what was told to him such a long time ago. Feels almost a lifetime, really.

And he can almost hear what Fray would say about his inability to retain the details of that first fight, greatsword in hand.]

Fighting like that, you could tap into something far deeper in you than you'd ever expected, but it needs some work, you see. Not easy to deal with and master, especially if it comes with... Er.

The side effects I could be thinking of.

....side effects? I just figured this would work out combined with my ability to take a hit for someone else. The blood from that injury, I can then strengthen them!
