captain_america[ It’s the first time Steve is addressing the network as a whole, but it’s not his first foray into video chatting so he’s fairly comfortable being on screen. Public speaking happens to be something he’s good at- at least when he’s in “captain mode”. Today he’s somewhere in between. ]
Good afternoon, Asgard. Some of you might know me, some of you don’t. I’m Steve Rogers, or Captain America, for those who know what that title means.
I’ve been speaking with some people, and after that dragon attack a few months ago it’s obvious that not all of us have experience with fighting, or not all areas of fighting that could come up. I’ve been working with Heimdall to expand on a training area where people can learn combat or self defense if they want to.
There will be areas for weapons training, and mounted combat, hand to hand. Anything really that we could think of.
What I don’t have are people with the experience and know how to instruct. So what I’m asking for are volunteers to teach, and for students who want to learn.
I’m skilled in a variety of hand to hand combat techniques but I’m sure there are styles I don’t know. On a personal note I’m looking to learn sword fighting and mounted combat.
Let me know if there’s anything you want covered and we will work on getting it done. Any classes that I haven’t mentioned that you want to see or teach. You can get in touch with me here or in the training grounds when they open up in a few days.
