It's Nero. [Someone calling him "sir" brings back a lot of memories of home, of how sometimes in the Order, a newcomer would address him as such. That was a long time ago, though.]

Too dark? Huh. [A sigh.] You ever had a nightlight before?

A nightlight? No, I can't say that I have. Is it any different than a candle?

It's like... [He pauses.] Think of a candle, but it's not a flame. But it provides light for the room in case you need it, and it lasts all night without having to be lit.

[Gonna have to see if he can maybe work something out for Alice. Being scared of the dark is no good.]

Oh, that sounds lovely! Do you think they have them here?

Maybe. The ones I know are all electric- though maybe someone can make it with magic instead?

Do you think I should ask? Do you know how to make one? I've not... any way to pay someone for such a thing. Doesn't all magic come with a price? That's what the stories always say, I don't have a fairy godmother, after all.
