And... yes... it gets a little too dark at night, though. [Why yes, Alice is afraid of the dark.] I can't leave a candle burning all night, I've not enough candles.

It's like... [He pauses.] Think of a candle, but it's not a flame. But it provides light for the room in case you need it, and it lasts all night without having to be lit.

[Gonna have to see if he can maybe work something out for Alice. Being scared of the dark is no good.]

Maybe. The ones I know are all electric- though maybe someone can make it with magic instead?

Do you think I should ask? Do you know how to make one? I've not... any way to pay someone for such a thing. Doesn't all magic come with a price? That's what the stories always say, I don't have a fairy godmother, after all.
