Hey everyone! So, now I've seen we have animals....you remember how I was talking about making ice cream before? Well, it might take a bit longer to make enough if everyone wants some, but. Come over and we can make our best effort!

[Because of course this is Sora's priority here. Finding out there were animals and having asked the Gods regarding...well, a freezer to keep it cold, of course. He's trying at least, to make plenty of it for everyone, especially with having heard that some people have never had any ice cream before. Of course the initial flavor will be sea salt, which might not be to everyone's tastes but he can also figure some others that are more traditional as well.

He now only has Naminé from home with him, but he is still trying to do what he can. Possibly in part because he knows this is something Roxas and Xion would have liked, and as something to keep him from getting too down about missing them and Ventus. Keeping busy helps. Between wanting to do this, figuring his training in wanting to learn about his new powers here, and continuing his attempts to not get too rusty with his Keyblade, he keeps busy enough. He is probably making a right mess of the kitchen doing this but that is half of the fun aside from the taste testing, right? Of course it is.]

That makes sense. Otherwise it wouldn't taste like much of a flavor at all, I guess.

[ Just generic ice cream, whatever that tastes like. A bit more confident now, she starts to work on the next bean. ]

Vanilla is probably the most 'plain' of the flavors, I guess? But that isn't a bad thing. Just means it's great for adding sprinkles or whatever to it!

[He explains, encouraging and reassuring her as he keeps mixing while keeping an eye on her with the beans.]

Like a blank canvas. Or-- a sketchbook?

[ Her eyes switch between him and the beans as she starts on the next one. It's easier this time, now that she has some idea of how much force to use. She's a pretty quick study in general, all things considered. ]

Yeah! You can add chocolate chips or sprinkles or honeycomb or all sorts to vanilla. So you could think of it like a canvas or a base.

[Vanilla was also just fine on its own of course. Some just preferred to add a little something to it as well.]

Hm...

[ She hums quietly as she works, as if she's considering something. ]

… Those are lots of brown things, aren't they?

[ Honeycomb not entirely included. It's a silly thing to notice, maybe, but-- ]

What about fruit? Would that be okay to add to vanilla?

[ She may wear a lot of white, but she has a distinct appreciation for more vibrant colors. ]

Depends? I mean, sprinkles can be any colour depending on the food colouring. You can get brown chocolate ones or like rainbow ones. Fruit can be good to add, or berries? Like boysenberry or something. What were you thinking of adding?

[Initially at least he was figuring to stick more basic but depending what she wants to add he might have it on hand to get her some.]

[ Naminé pauses in her cutting the beans, knife poised in one for a moment as she considers. ]

I hadn't thought that far ahead yet, [ she confesses. ] Actually, most of those things sound pretty good.

[ She turns her eyes down just for a second, then they come back up as she realizes, ]

-- Oh. What about oranges?

Orange chocolate chip is great too!

[If he had to pick another favourite. Sora gives a nod in approving of her choice, familiar, or at least more than her, with the potential options that tended to go well together in the usual ice cream flavours one might find available.]

It is?

[ Secondhand memories or not, ice cream wasn't one of those things Naminé spent a lot of time studying. She seems genuinely surprised to hear she's come up with a valid combination, and falters a little happily. ]

Then... could we try that one later? If it's not too much trouble, that is.

[ Silly thing, acting as though she needs permission. ]

Course we can! It's one of my favourites too!

[Getting fruit and chocolate chips shouldn't be too hard, after all. That sort of thing was pretty basic, and chocolate would be easier to manage now with the dairy being available. So Sora figures that should be easy enough to figure out.]

[ Brightening, ]

Okay...!

[ She looks genuinely happy about it; maybe she needs such a simple thing to be glad about. As she begins to work at cutting the beans again, ]

Then I'll look forward to it.

We can make the orange next! I'll just finish this lot and help you with the vanilla, then we can get to it!

[He reassures her. Though he might not immediately have the oranges out ready on the bench like some of the other ingredients, he's sure there were some around they could use. But he does want to make some, and he's glad when she seems so happy about it. It's something simple, easy enough got him to figure and agree to, that he might not think much of it though.]

Alright. That sounds really-- oh!

[ That's what she gets for looking up - inevitably the bean slips, and she catches her finger with the knife; just a little, but she withdraws her hand suddenly on instinct, only barely managing to set the blade down rather than dropping it on the board directly. Her fingers curl in, hiding whatever injury might be there in her closed fist. ]

Wh -- oh! Are you okay?

[She had been using the knife, after all. He pauses with his mixing to glance over when she starts like that, blue eyes wide and confused, concerned when she pulls her hand back and curls her fingers. His gloved hand reaches for hers to check, if she allows it.]

[ By then, her other hand has come to wrap around the hurt one. Her head bows toward it slightly, eyes searching as she carefully uncurls her fingers again. As he reaches for her she pauses, blinking over at him belatedly; it seems she was a bit distracted. ]

-- Yes, [ she reassures quickly, once she realizes he's asked her a question. As if to prove it, she holds her hand out for him, fingers still not completely unfurled. ] I think so. It doesn't seem that bad...!

[ There is a break in the skin, but it's not much worse than a papercut. ]

Let me see.

[Sora knows, that some cuts while small, tiny, could be deeper and hurt more. At least, there was probably some sort of first aid around? Probably? He's used to some bare basics at least, back home, before he had Cure and Potions.

He just isn't sure what might be available here in Asgard. So he checks her finger, simply initially putting a wet flannel on it to press to stop the bleeding while he checks the kitchen.]

I wonder if they have plasters or something around here somewhere?

[ Dutifully, Naminé holds still as he examines the cut. It stings something fierce, but she's well enough acquainted with injuries - other people's, mostly - to know that it's nothing that won't heal. She nevertheless tries to accommodate his ministrations the best she can, resisting the urge to insist that she'll be fine. (That would be little comfort to her if their places were reversed; she'd still want to help, herself.) ]

I-- don't know. This is the first time I've been in here...!

[ Sora's House's kitchen, that is. Now, finally, she gives a faltering, ]

I can... try to take care of it myself, but it's such a small cut.

[ Kind of makes it seem like she shouldn't waste the magic on it. ]

Hm? Yourself.....?

[He's still searching the cupboards when she says that, pausing to glance to her questioningly. Because if she meant she could heal, then that was good, right? If she could help with her cut. He's not sure on what limits might be for it or such but it was just a smaller cut so it should be fine? If he really does have trouble with usually having eaten at the restaurant before or just made simple snacks that hadn't really required much so avoided this up till now.]

[ She's got one hand curled around the injured finger when he looks back at her, watching him a bit uncertainly. The girl is hesitant to go pawing through any of the cupboards herself, since it isn't her home, and at his question she's quick to nod with a, ]

Yes. Since I'm able to heal wounds now as the power I have from Sigyn.

[ Except she still seems hesitant, which might seem silly if one doesn't know quite how the power works. ]

Oh! Really? That's great! I can't do anything like that. I mean, not since I got here. But that'll be useful!

[And it made sense somehow too? Given she was more of a support than an actual fighter, at least as far as Sora himself was aware. So it fit? He glances between her and the cupboards then.]

Ah, did you want to -- or should I keep looking for something for you?

It is pretty useful, yes. Even if... that's only the case when people get hurt.

[ Which is not an ideal reality, but it's better than not being able to help at all? And it does fit her, really - though she 'um's quietly at the question. ]

If there's a bandage somewhere close-by, I... [ … Wouldn't want to waste that, but she doesn't want to waste the magic either. A beat, then, carefully, ] Well, in order to use my magic, I have to summon a spirit. I'm not sure about asking it here if it's just for me...!

[ Not that she knows for sure whether it would care or not, or if it's even sentient, honestly. It's kind of the principle of the thing. ]

Hey, it could still come in handy. A spirit? Never know when someone might get hurt though.

[Like just now. Sora raises an eyebrow in question about the spirit? But he does keep searching and does manage to find something in the way of a basic first aid supply of sorts, bringing it down to the bench for her. He opens it to have a look for something to use for her finger.]

Yes, [ she confirms. ] It always seems to be some kind of animal, though it's not the same one every time.

[ Perhaps he'll see it some day, when there's a more serious injury to attend to - but for now she brightens at the sight of the first aid box. ]

-- Oh. That should have something that will work.

[ Hand held carefully still so as not to either irritate the wound or bleed anywhere, Naminé steps over to peer past him into the box, though she's certain not to get in his way. ]

I'm not sure how it works, but. For now, let's use this. You can show me another time.

[He says as they open the box to see what supplies they have available. Sora then proceeds to pull things out to check, then manages to find something he thinks will work, cutting some off from the roll before gesturing for her to offer her hand so he can help wrap it around her finger.]

I'm not entirely sure either, [ is her rather bashful admission. Magic does have a tendency to be that way; it works consistently but it's not easy to explain the why of it. ] But-- okay.

[ Hopefully when she does show him it won't be because of anything serious - and though she thinks as much she doesn't say it. Instead she watches him manipulate the roll, straightening a little when he gestures for her. Without hesitation she holds out her hand, the injured finger extended, and before he's even set about bandaging it, ]
