001 ☾ video
If this is supposed to be a city, [Molly begins, standing just outside the Heimdall tavern, dressed in the same horribly garish (but thankfully less holey) coat that he showed up in,] then having just the one tavern to frequent seems a bit counterproductive. First of all, not everyone lives in Heimdall, and we don't always feel like dragging our feet halfway across the city for a drink.
Second of all, what sort of pub doesn't serve alcohol? That's pretty much all the reason why someone would want to drop by. [He shakes his head. Shame on you, Asgard. Shame.] Now, I know that there's no alcohol here besides the Devil's Vodka, but we could make some.
So really, my point to all this is: what's the best way to make your own spirits? The more variety the better. I'm going to try them all and sell whatever does its job at my own stall.
[A pause, during which Molly thinks back to who else has posted on this network. Right. There are people on this network for whom alcohol would be inappropriate, so:]
Or you can tell me how to make a non-alcoholic drink they're not serving at the only pub in this town.

I'm afraid most of the drinks I know how to make are aliens, and we don't have the ingredients for it here. As for non alcoholic drinks for the kids, you can't never go wrong with milkshakes.
video
Not even for the ones that aren't alien?
Never heard of milkshakes. [He knows about milk, but milkshakes are new.] If you know how to make those, I'd love to hear it.
Re: video
Oh we do have grapes and Barley, which are the basic ingredients to make Wine and Beer but I don't know the procedures.
[ Sorry man, he's been away from earth for 3 decades and he was too young to know how alcohol was made by then ]
Wait, really? Oh that is such a tragedy, I need to be fixed. Milkshakes are the best thing ever. They're sweet and cold, usually make with ice cream or milk. But they're usually not very suited for pubs.

[Spoken like someone who has never, in his life, seen wine being made either and is only going off some half-remembered stories.]
That needs to be fixed. Sooner rather than later, I hope. Do you just, what, chill the milk and shake it up a little? [He's taking notes. Barely legible notes, but still.]
no subject
[ They're going to end with tons and tons of vinegar, aren't they? ]
Man, I hope so. And yes, basically. Milkshakes are super easy to make. You use the milk mixed with vanilla ice cream to get the right soft but not too liquid consistency and then add the extra flavors like a swirl of chocolate syrup, peanut butter, a chopped banana or other fruit. Or you can just use a flavored ice cream, like chocolate or strawberry.
Once you have all the ingredients you want, you mix them with a blender until is smooth and it's done.
no subject
All right, hold on, what's a blender? We don't have those in Wildemount. [Probably Tal'Dorei? There's all sorts of weird shit that comes out of Tal'Dorei.]
no subject
A blender is a machine, it cut and mix what you put in it. Really useful to make smoothies out of pieces of fruit, it can turn them into liquid or puree.
no subject
[A shrug.]
Can’t be that hard.
no subject
Let me know how it goes when you try it. Oh and make sure the lid is closed properly before you use it, unless you want to end scrapping pieces of fruit from the ceiling.

[He’s from a medieval fantasy game. Blenders are going to blow his mind.]
no subject
[ Yeah he sees the problem. ]

And your name is...?

Also, really, Star-Lord? Why not shoot for something higher than that? Like Star-Prince, maybe.
no subject
Oh gods, I've never heard THAT ONE before. Thank you so much for enlightening me, I think this is a life-changing moment.
[ Can you feel the sarcasm, Molly? ]
video;
If we had enough honey we could make an attempt at mead, at the very least.
video;
If. Have we got the honey? And how do you make mead, because [like Jameela Jamil and cakes] I've never actually been in the same room where mead's been made before.
video;
[ Unsure whether they actually have the honey, though. ]
We could ask around for the main ingredient.

If there's no honey here, I'll see if the gods won't acquiesce. After all, they dragged us here, the least they can do is give us something we can use to make our own liquor with.

[Because that was literally just his plan if there turned out to be not enough honey around for a batch of mead.]

Frigg once magicked up some chocolates when I asked, being her most favourite and only child ... I could do so again ...

[ Seems the type!! Charming, etc. ]
voice;
[As a soldier he doesn't see the point of it.]
no subject
[He can make stew, but anything else is a little beyond his rudimentary skill. But he'll ask anyway, later.]
Oh, that's good. Still, I'd like to have some I don't have to bargain or trade for. Wouldn't you?
no subject
Services or items, right? Are you good at making anything maybe?
no subject
[There’s a pause.] Somewhat? I know how to tell fortunes, juggle, and promote other people’s goods and services.
no subject
I'm sure anyone willing to trade with you will find a use out of one of those things. Who knows, you might get asked to entertain a child's birthday.
