video;
Evening all! I am Loki, God of Mischief and prince of Asgard! Another Asgard, alternate dimension. Long story.
[ Clearing his throat, two green eyes lean away from the viewer to reveal Loki in a green hoodie in the middle of his studio apartment, a bowl of punch and cooked dishes on the lounge table. Mayonnaise mashed potatoes, cheese-drenched meatbites, hotroot salad, veggie casserole, stuffed mushrooms, apple-baked salmon and strawberry-cream trifle ... it all looks delicious, doesn't it? It should, it's for you. How tempting, no? ]
You're invited to my old school Asgardian dinner. These are an approximation of traditional Asgardian dishes that I grew up with, some vegetarian-ised for the herbivores out there, [ because he's thoughtful like that, ] with a special haunch of slow-cooked dragon-meat glazed in honey and applesauce, then lightly roasted in breadcrumbs, for a true godly experience.
[ There it is, the centrepiece: mouthwatering. Loki looks rather pleased with himself as he turns his wrist-camera away, panning around his studio apartment that looks like it could fit a couple dozen people inside. ]
The parties our hosts have thrown are all well and good, but I'm offering a chance to chill while you pick my brain, as a resident of this realm a few lifetimes and universes over. What I know of my Asgard may not be applicable to this one although you're welcome to grill me at your leisure over the fruit punch. Non-alcoholic, apologies. Alternatively, come for the free food and make some likewise greedy friends! No shame in that! Second floor of Skadihaus is where you'll find the party, my apartment is the only one occupied, and as per the rules you'll be getting kicked out at ten.
Please leave snacks at the entrance of the apartment complex for the spider-horse napping there. Thank you!

[ Indeed, even on the video it appears Fran is walking through the city, heading towards Skadi's district. ]

There's my favourite horned friend! How are you faring, Fran?

Charming as always, Loki. I've been well though, starting to settle into this land. [ They take an experimental sip, stepping away from the door and letting their gaze wander over the interior. That light tone shifts to something more playful. ] If I didn't know better, I'd say I was one of your only friends with horns.
[ A smirk follows, looking down at the punch in their hands and nodding approvingly. Sweet, fruity, delicious! ]
I trust you've been taking care of yourself?

[ It's very true, though. No one else has a glorious pair of horns like them. ]
Yes, largely. Bit of bother with that dragon is still lingering but I'm sure this mortal body will heal soon.

[ A light laugh follows, their keratinous head ornaments have served quite well in identifying Fran since they've arrived here. Since 'that person with the horns' narrows it down to them and Terezi, really. ]
Oh? I hope you've been taking it easy, then! Things are... tough without magic.
But I digress, what do you 'Asgardians' do for parties, then?
no subject
[ He tilts his head in consideration down at them, humming over the lip of his drink. ]
But it's mostly a get-together to meet new people. They're all rather distracted when they first roam the festivities upon their arrival, wouldn't you say?

I'll consider myself lucky I came to this, instead, then!
[ Barely any of that sounded enjoyable. Fran gives an agreeable nod soon after. ]
Not a bad idea at all. The wanderers I met when they arrived seemed quite... Well, understandably distressed about their predicaments.
Has anyone else arrived yet?

[ Nodding to where Peter is stuffing his handsome face. Loki looks back to Fran. ]
Feel free to mingle, if the urge strikes.
no subject
I think I see who you mean.
[ Their response is short, interrupted by a gentle laugh from the description. When their eyes flick back to Loki it's with a bemused grin. ]
I'll be sure to keep him in mind. But first, perhaps you could show me around this house of yours?

[ He leads the way to the hall that splits off into the bathroom and bedroom, the only other places to go in the apartment. Loki's bedroom is a mess of furs and plush blankets, more of a nest on a mattress than anything else, and there are items that look like trinkets taken from other godhauses. A teacup from Frigg's, for example; keepsakes.
He may have a mild kleptomaniac tendency as a master thief. ]

[ A simple suggestion, for now. Fran followed along, looking over the more modern designs with a hint of curiosity. Though, the bedroom feels far more familiar than anything else. Like something out of a cozy cabin. It wouldn't be out of place in one of Honir's homes.
Fran picks out a horse-shoe from Honir's stables, raising a brow at the man. ]
You have almost as many trinkets as we have in our homes! Building a collection?
no subject
[ And the type of things found there. He folds his arms and leans on the doorjamb as Fran meanders around. ]
What are your digs here like?
no subject
They glance back when he asks. ]
Cozy... somewhat built into a hill. It's like a burrow, or den, that became a home! I quite like it that way, it feels a bit more natural than... [ Their eyes pointedly scan the modern apartment's features, furs aside. ] Some of Asgard's homes. You should come around sometime~

[ BADUMPSHH. He's funny. ]
I'd like to, but won't your housemates complain? Unless you live on your own like me.
no subject
That and they've never heard the saying before. They settle on a more playful tone. ]
Eheh- Having a guest over? Why? Do you plan on making a lot of noise?
[ Still, a soft breath later and Fran shakes their head, voice more neutral. ]
It hardly feels like I have housemates, though. Two of the three disappeared... and the third I haven't seen around much.
