[No. Not just for his friends from home, either. Knowing Sora he probably faces that same thing with Christmas with wanting to do this for Everyone.......

Oh, right. Not everyone might get it. But, uh, Valentines is like a celebration of friends! Or more. If you have someone special! You get them flowers or chocolate and show you appreciate them! It's not as huge a thing as Christmas or anything, but. I still like it! And if I make too much chocolate, just means I can save some for later!

[So this is clearly just a win all around, right? Obviously.]

On the other hand, with my training lately, I figured I can do something else too! I don't think Riku was too thrilled though.... but I can help in fights by taking hits for others!

[......this is decidedly probably not something he should seem as thrilled about? But he is anyway. Because of course he is if it means he can help keep his friends safe.]

I would like that very much, Wonderland is so terribly strange but I came just from the Looking Glass before coming here.

Well, I know about Wonderland. And you can tell me about the Looking Glass stuff. I haven't been there yet but I know about going to other worlds and all. So I get it.

Well, did you know that the Looking Glass is like a very big chessboard and the Red King and Queen and the White King and Queen are constantly going to war... oh! But not in a serious way. It's all a very big game.

W-war? Oh....well, I guess if it's a game and nobody really gets hurt that's okay.

[She's still so young. Too young to be involved in war. Never mind that she is only about seven years or so younger than he was when everything happened with the storm and the Heartless arriving to the Islands.]

Well, I don't think anything is worse there than just spending some time in prison because they do things a bit backwards. You would be put in prison for a time, then have a trial once you were out and found guilty, and then, I suppose, if you wanted, you would commit the crime.

Wait, how does that make sense? That's definitely backwards!

[He knows things can literally be upside down and such in Wonderland but....that is still confusing.]

I know, that's the point. It's backward thinking. So the White Queen put a bandage on her finger, screamed in pain, and then only after pricked her finger on her brooch. But she didn't bother screaming again because she had already done so!

That......really doesn't make sense.....

[Or, well. Maybe it did in this Looking Glass place. Wonderland was weird as well, so Sora doesn't really question the logic. It just sounds strange, to do it all backwards like that when it made more sense to bandage an injury afterwards to stem the bleeding, for example.]

Mnn, I said the same thing. But even Looking Glass and Wonderland have rules of sorts, even if the rules seem to be contrary to regular ones of sorts.

But I don't think backwards. I'm still waiting for my jam today.

[Sora just shakes his head. That logic and rules just seem strange to him. But it isn't like he's as familiar or grew up in either Wonderland or the Looking Glass place, so. Maybe that's why.]

[Alice suddenly put a hand to her chest, mimicking the White Queen as she lifted a finger in the air.] 'The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday – but never jam to-day' [She then giggled as she put her hands down.]

Well, I'll be honest, I don't like jam all that much but the White Queen insisted it was very good jam, but not jam you can ever get!

Huh? So you'd have it every other day?

[He may not quite get it, not necessarily being the best with this sort of riddle and logic, especially the backwards logic of this place Alice is talking about.]

How do you mean not jam you can get?

Well, because you can't have jam to-day! Only every other day! So when tomorrow becomes today, you can't have it.

W-wait....so you never even get to eat the jam? You can have all the jam you want here! I'm sure I could figure making or buying some if you wanted more.

[That's just. Taunting? Cruel? Confusing? To talk of this jam and never be allowed to eat it on toast or whatever else.]

I didn't say I couldn't have the jam I wanted here, but in the Looking Glass I can only have jam every other day. But I can have jam today as much as I like... except I'm not very fond of jam, even if it is very good jam.

Oh. Then what else do you like instead of jam?

[Honey? Peanut butter? Did they even have that for Alice's time? Where she was from?]

Well, I'm fond of honey. [She has no idea what peanut butter is, no.] But I really only like butter on my toast. What about you?

Me? Ah, jam I guess. Or like a grilled cheese.

[But having it more plain is fine too. It all just depends on the situation. And on the person's tastes, really.]

... Whatever is a grilled cheese? Do you really just grill a block of cheese?

Huh? Er, no. You toast the bread and the cheese melts in between the slices of bread. You don't just grill a whole block of cheese, just slices of it with the bread.

[Clearly now they have dairy again he needs to educate her in this.]

I've never had it... will you make one for me?

Sure! They're pretty basic. Not that I'm an amazing chef or anything but even I can manage that much. I'll make you a grilled cheese sometime.

[Next time either of them visit, he can at least try figure the basic ingredients in ensuring he hasn't run out of bread that particular day or something. He figures.]
