[The screen flicks on to find a green woman sitting in a chair with bright, colorful hair worrying her hands. It's almost like she's nervous or something!! That can't be as she very calmly addresses the camera.] I have been told that certain events require announcements.

[She vaguely remembers her people doing the same once upon a time too. Gamora holds her head up high as she announces the rest.] I have accepted a great honor. My partner asked if I was willing to spend the rest of my life with him. I agreed to the proposal.

[She brings up her left hand to the camera so that everyone can clearly see this ring that contrasts sharply against the dark metal ones on her other fingers. ] Wearing this ring symbolizes my intent to honor our agreement. It is a custom of Earth. It is my understanding there is more to come after this, but I intend to honor those traditions as well even if I am not of that planet.

That is all. [She ends the feed there.]

It's comforting to know I am not the only one with them. [Seriously. She's openly relieved she's not the only one in the dark on how to be a person.] I didn't... live as most do before I met Peter.

[ Oh. Oh, wait. Chizuru is pretty sure that someone she spoke to referred to a person matching this woman's exact description as his girlfriend, so.. this must be about them! So despite never having spoken to Gamora before, Chizuru's face is lit up with joy as she replies. ]

[Cue her struggling to contain her embarrassment. It's not like she loves her future husband or something!!!] I do love him.

[She toys with her ring.] I would hope this means he feels the same way.

.. um, his name is Peter, isn't it?

[ Just making sure! In case there's another green lady around with a sweet boyfriend, you never know in this place.. ]

He actually told me about you. And.. really, just from the way he spoke about you it was very obvious that he loves you so much.

That is his name. [The rest visibly makes her melt. Gamora smiles softly. She loves that idiot.] He'll be a fine husband.

[It suddenly dawns on Gamora that she never asked for this:] I never asked for your name.

Well this is unexpected.

[ And for once Peter is blushing. He never expected her to let the whole world know like that...but also, she's so cute he could die. ]

It's proper. [So defensive!!!] A lady is supposed to announce her engagement to the people.

[Who could she be paraphrasing............who.........]

Is that so? [ The use of 'proper' was already making hims guess but when she used 'a lady' Peter had to stop himself squealing. He hides a smile behind a short cough. ]

And is there anything a gentleman must do in return for his lovely lady?

Not laugh at her attempts to be proper. [Said flatly. She totally misunderstood that fake cough.]

[Yep. She sure did send that to everyone.]

Don't think we've actually met... [Seen each other at the same party, but not spoken.] But hey, congratulations! Hope you have a good time!

We haven't. [She remembers these things!!] Thank you for your well wishes. I intend to have a good time.

[That last part is awkward. She's making this up as she goes along. It's not like she spent much time as a person before this.]

That's probably the most... [ what's the right word here? ] official sounding wedding announcement that I've ever heard. Congratulations.

[ even though mary lives on the benatar, she and gamora haven't really had many conversations. the green woman is kind of intimidating, even for mary. ]

Will there be a ceremony?

Thank you. I wanted it to be official. [She tried so hard!!! It's really tough for her to be open with her feelings which is probably why everyone is lowkey intimidated. Whoops.] We haven't discussed it, but I would hope so. My people held ceremonies. I would like to do that in their honor.

Humans usually hold ceremonies as well. Oftentimes there's a church involved, though there aren't really any churches here. [ She shrugs. ] Peter doesn't strike me as the church-going type anyway.

[Gamora smiles in relief. It was going to take her a while to work up the urge to ask what humans do lbr.] Thank you. Our people held all ceremonies of importance at our temples. That is something we could share if he decides that he is that type.

[He first responds with clapping.]

Congratulations! Congrats! [What's her name??] Who's the lucky guy?

[She didn't give it. It's almost like Gamora spent her life as a weapon or something. ] Thank you. His name is Peter Quill. [Wryly,] You must be the only person here he hasn't befriended.

Oh, Starlord? We got to talk a bit when I showed up! He never told me he had a girlfriend.

[He rolls onto his stomach with his head on his bed and legs slowly kicking in the air.]

So, when's the wedding?

He must have had an off day. [So dry. Gamora can't completely suppress a smile. What a funny creature.] We haven't selected a date. It's difficult. Neither of us know the other's customs.
