[Now that we’re officially in the middle of winter, it’s a good time to make a PSA about staying warm and healthy in one of the harshest seasons of the year. She should probably have done this earlier but ah well. RL is a drag the Public Service Announcement capabilities of technologies are new to Wen Qing.]

Greetings, Wanderers.

[It’s a public announcement. In her time you did it by forcing everyone to show up at a meeting hall. So Wen Qing’s speaking more formally than she usually does.]

Winter is a dangerous time, and as we are a varied group some of you may not have gone through winter before. Cold temperatures make the human body more vulnerable to illness and infection, and if you really don’t watch yourself they can kill. So keep warm and watch yourself carefully. If you experience numbness, dizziness, an irregular heartbeat, or other unusual things- find someone to help you and get to the Heillhaus if you can.

Secondly, not all of you are human. I’m not sure about how other beings react to the cold, or in general. If you have specific needs I’d appreciate if you could report it to someone at the Heillhaus so the physicians are aware. If you practice hibernatory behaviour over the winter I’d advise you tell someone about it too, so people don’t get alarmed.

[ True to her word, Chizuru does go over there quickly. If not just since what she's about to talk about gives her all kinds of nervous jitters which she'd rather not be walking around with all day.

So she makes her way over to the Heilhaus, at least able to find Wen Qing relatively easy considering the other is also on the lookout for her. ]

Already let 'em know this one, but trolls are kiiiiiinda cold blooded, so I already play careful with this sorta weather. Long as the aquatic bloodlines aren't here, we're probably fine, but I'm definitely absolutely loooooving this weather so much.

Human thing, based off their lunar cycle I wanna say? Something close to that anyway. There's twelve of them in one of their years. I've had to get used to it, since it's how humans tell time instead of sweeps.

But ok. I think we get it. Uhhhhh, March is... I wanna say two months and change from now? Maybe?

[Ah yes, this much is familiar to her.]

There are twelve new moons in a year, about four a season. It's a good way to track the time- in a month the snow should start to melt. In two, hibernating creatures appear and plants start growing. In three the skies should no longer be this dusty color, [she's mildly salty about this,] though I don't know if they have blue skies in this backwater. And so on.

Spring will come when it comes- I don't really care what humans out there call it.

I would survive, as I always do. [Now he's just being deliberately obtuse when it comes to the point.] If anyone doesn't learn and adapt, then they deserve to lie down in the snow and die. Or lose a few fingers to frostbite. That always teaches a great lesson.
