I beg your pardon, but I have a very important question to ask. [A most serious and absolutely tremendously important question! In her lap are three cats, for those observant. One is all black, another is a ragdoll, and the third is a ginger, all three are quite fluffy little things. ]

But, I do believe it's getting to be winter, or at least, I think it's wintertime, it's certainly getting to be as cold as winter and I think it may even start snowing... but time is so funny here. So... if it's winter time, does that mean Father Christmas will be coming soon? Does... does a place like Asgard even celebrate it? Santa... he can find his way here, can't he?

He's a spirit who brings gifts to good boys and girls on Christmas. He comes every year on Christmas. He encourages kindness towards others and giving gifts to the ones we love. He's magical, able to travel all over the world to do what he does. Which... is why I hope he can come here.

Oh no no! Father Christmas isn't from Wonderland! He's... well, I'm actually not sure where he's from, I know he's from very far north.

But I've not any list to give him. I've never left him out food before, what does he like to eat?

You've not heard of Father Christmas? He's simply lovely! He's the spirit of Christmas! He's kind and jolly, he gives gifts to good children, he encourages kindness and giving to others! He only comes at night, though when he delivers his gifts! I've never seen him but I've gotten a gift from him every year!

Ya know, gaudy, with lots of colors, lots of gold trim. I love the colors, but there's always so much, kind of makes the old nugbone dizzy to sniff them all at once. Gives me a colossal Nugache if I actually look at it, right behind the ocular cavity, you know with the lookstubs and whatnot.

What is a Father Christmas? Or Santa?

[He sounds rather puzzled. The Christians in his time don't celebrate Christmas the way the Victorian era would know it as, but the Norse tradition of Yule held many similarities, which is one of the reasons that the other cultures had adopted the traditions for themselves.]

He's not a what, he's a who. He's Father Christmas! He's the father of the yuletide! He brings gifts and merriment and good cheer during the cold winter months. Every good child hopes to be visited by Father Christmas!

Ah, Yule! I do know of Yule. Among the Norse, it is Odin who brings the gifts to good children in the shoes we leave out for him, believe it or not.

[He must inform this version of Odin just so he can see what reaction he'll have. Likely some sort of deadpan blink, but there you go.]
