[ There's silence for a seconds before a small click is heard and then; ]
Caaan.....anybody...find meeeeeEEEE...somebody TOOOO looOOOooove...
[ The man.
The myth.
The legend.
Freddy Mercury himself.
Has Freddy Mercury arrived in Asgard, one might wonder? Wouldn't that be great? Sadly, that isn't the case and if anybody bothers to check, they will see that this network post lists Peter Quill as the author.
The Guardian waits until the music ends, hoping that anyone listening is enjoying the song for what it is: a gift. Once the beat dies down, there's another silence and Peter's voice speaks up. ]
You can thank the Goddess Skadi and the God Tyr for that. As for my own contribution, there's now a list of 300 songs available on the network for you to listen and share. The Network's new playlist should be available in all devices...ah, right about now.
If you all want to add more songs, there's a trick to it. They need to be pulled out of your memories and then added to the network; and you need to contact Skadi or Tyr for that. It's a painless process but it takes some time and might have some...harmless side effects. Things like getting a song stuck in your head or feeling lighthearted and sleepy.
[ Peter's voice lost a little of his previous cheerfulness at that final explanation. Getting the songs out of his memories had been a long and sometimes really stressful process due to his wariness when it comes to gods getting into his head. Hopefully, others won't have that problem and besides, the Gods also have a better idea of what are they doing. The hazards of being the first test subject. ]
Anyway! Have fun everyone, feel free to ask me questions. And now here's one last song for my best girl.
[ Which is Gamora, even if he doesn't specify it. There's another click and the song Ain't no mountain high enough starts playing. If one pays attention, Peter can be heard humming along with it in the background. ]
Feel free to use this to talk to Peter, for a general chat among the chars, or maybe to try the different songs that can now be played on the network. Have fun. ]

[ ooc: Here's a first list of the songs available from Peter's canon. Feel free to add any new songs to the list by leaving an ooc message to that post, thanks! The songs are also super quality because Skadi is the best.Feel free to use this to talk to Peter, for a general chat among the chars, or maybe to try the different songs that can now be played on the network. [Songs dedicated to her? People important to her? Who knows!]

[ Maybe this makes it better? ]
I'm Peter Quill, I don't think we've talked before?

[She's more of a sour herself if she's being honest.]
i'm afraid not. isha devan, at your service.
[Not really.]

[ Peter's a big softie at heart but he also used to be a thief and part of an interplanetary criminal group so...not too bad not too good. Very human, though. ]
A pleasure to meet you, Isha. Enlighten me a little about your taste in music. Do you have a favorite song? Favorite genre?

mm. depends on the mood. i suppose i'm a bit of a punk rocker at the end of the day. it's mostly what i listened to in college while I was off engineering. kept people away from me and annoyed nearly everyone within the radius.
[Which, really, probably makes no sense if you took one look at her without context.]
no subject
Punk rock songs are great to listen to, especially when you're working on projects...Wait, engineering?
[ If Peter were a dog, his ears would have perked up. He's not bad with machines himself, has been working on repairing his ship and trying to find an alternate source of clean energy for the city for a while, but he could use some help. ]
How good are you at it?
no subject
i built and programmed my own greyhound with stolen metal from scrap yards when i was a teenager. i'd like to think i'm very good at it.
[Not to mention her soundproof boots, the embedded tech in her sunglasses, even some of the finer points of her prosthetic arm. She's just good like that.]
no subject
That's sounds amazing. I've never seen a robot dog before. Did it like pets?
And do you have time nowadays because I have a proposition. A few months ago my spaceship crashed in the city, it's in Skadi's park. I've been working on using the turbines and the power cells together to make a wind turbine and bring clean electricity to the city.
no subject
as for time... i have too much of it. are you asking to help you build an infrastructure of modern electricity to this mythic place?
no subject
That I am. I have the necessary tools, tons of metal, power cells and gadgets because my ship crashed in the city a few months ago and is fully equipped. But the tech genius in my team is Rocket and he's not here. I managed so far but there's so much my abilities can do.
You look like someone who would like a challenge and I'm thinking on a wind farm.
no subject
i'll see what i can do. i'll have to actually see what is happening for myself and figure out the layouts of the entire city to get the energy where you want it to go.
no subject
Nothing wrong with wanting to be pampered. You just need to find the right person who will do that for you.
I'd appreciate any help you could offer. Right now I have some blueprints and schematics, as well as the giant turbine now lying next to my ship. Building the base of the tower is what it's taking me more time but it' halfway done. It looks like a weird trebuchet of sorts right now.
But If we can get the first one to work to power my ship, then we only have to teach the locals how to build the rest and eventually have a wind farm.
no subject
let me know when you'd like for me to visit then.
i suggest we find the brightest of the locals to learn first. no use in teaching everyone when one soul will muck it up immediately.

My girlfriend will be over today, so what about tomorrow afternoon? [ He's in a dancing mood and so is Gamora so they're going to spend some quality time together. ]
Good idea. Maybe some of the ones working in Odin's district or his Library.
no subject
as for the others. hacking, thieving, blackmailing, what have you. engineering's no good to them until i have to engineer a party favor of my liking
no subject
A very talented woman, I see. You must have gotten in trouble in the past.

[Sometimes she's fine with openly admitting she's a criminal, other times she's not, but getting into the whole story?
That's hardly a happy story to be shared over a network while discussing engineering.]
now, is there anything you need from me before we get started on this grand affair to bring the modern world about?
no subject
I think I already wasted enough of your time, we can talk properly once we meet in person.

Good to know we both enjoyed it. See you around!
