[ Oh look, it's the library! More specifically, a table in the library where there's several works in progress and, curiously, dragon's teeth. The teeth look cleaned of meat and gore though they were curiously dirty as if buried in dirt. ]

I admit that I had missed a social network but I'm not sure if I find this a suitable replacement. I mean, there is little entertainment on this thing. No webdramas, no webnovels, and just a few complaints and a meme? [ He clicks his tongue against his teeth as if saying 'you poor babies'. ] Honestly, I thought you people would have embraced this tech far better than this.

Anyways, I have a couple announcements. One, in light of the lack of any literature in this place, I'm endeavoring in writing out a couple stories I remembered from home. Another is show the progress on the teeth I got. I've managed to clean away the flesh and now will start on bleaching and prepping for the final product. I'm hoping for a sword, but we'll see how they will turn out.

[ Then the feed clicks off. Because Ye Zun is that kind of brat. ]

[ As if this whole network thing wasn't already new and curious enough to Chizuru, there sure are a lot of words being thrown around she has never heard of before. That meme thing again, and.. webdramas..? What?

But before she can think too much about those words, the other part of the message grabs her attention even more. ]

Are.. those teeth from that dragon from before?

[ They had to be judging by that size, right. Chizuru looks somewhere midway between amazed and worried. ]

Yes, they are.

[ A quick grin as Ye Zun lifts one of them up for a close up. And yes, that is a bit of dirt stuck in some of the fine grooves of the tooth's edge. ]

I just finished cleaning the meat off of it. I do have some claw pieces too. [ And these are taken out next - a lot smaller and not at all sturdy looking. ]

[ Ah yes, seeing them up close and hearing that description is clearly what Chizuru needed right now.

At least she's managing to keep herself from recoiling at it, so she doesn't look like a total weenie, but she still looks a bit Concerned. ]

How did you get those? [ Not that she doesn't know the dragon was dealt with, but-- ] Did you help defeat it..?

[ He looks so normal though. How could he have gone up against a dragon? ]

[ Well they are a bit nasty looking, and they aren't the biggest ones. He knew a couple people who had larger pieces they managed to cart off the dragon. ]

I pried them out of the dragon's mouth after it fell. [ A slow smile even though technically he wasn't on the front lines, so to speak. ]

I did what I could.

I see.. [ She still sounds a bit unsure. ] You must have really wanted to have them.

[ Chizuru can't imagine why someone would pry teeth out of a dragon's mouth otherwise. Even though it was already dead, that's still kind of gross. ]

Do they usually use those as material where you come from? [ Dragons actually existing is still kind of a wild concept, but if it's possible here, then why not in other people's home worlds, right? ]

I did. I felt that they might prove useful later on, and if not, they're still cool looking.

[ He may be thousands of years old but still looking cool is a thing. ]

Bone is used in a number of items, but I am not skilled enough to take something as large as a tooth and turn it into hundreds of needles. The splinters I got off a claw, those I can use for hairpins.

Hairpins? [ That apparently draws her interest.

Or, well, it's kind of better than the thought of some terrifying bone sword at the very least. That sounds like something you'd hear of in a spooky legend. ]

That might be kind of pretty.. Although it might also be slightly strange to know you are carrying part of a dragon in your hair.

Indeed. It's also a way to test if I'm doing this right.

I've never really worked bone myself. I've seen it done, and had been noisy but never really went farther than that. A hairpin will be the test and from there, I'll figure it out.

[ He laughs softly, shaking his head. ] Oh, no. I wouldn't think that. Can you imagine how nice it would look?

[ There's a small pause where Chizuru is trying to gauge whether he's really unaffected by the thought.. and it sure seems like it. Maybe it's just her being a weenie. (She wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, hence why she sounds a tad embarrassed as she replies.) ]

I'm not sure.. I've never seen one like that before. They were usually made out of wood or precious metals where I'm from.

[ Nope, it doesn't bother him at all. After all, he has known people who carry around puppets shaped after their dead, and lived as a slave among people who saw him as a tool towards the throne. Bones are nothing. ]

We use wood and metal and stone. Bone is something the heathens to the north used, but since here I am a heathen, I might as well go with my instincts.

You consider yourself a heathen? [ It's a distraction from all the bone talk, sure, but Chizuru isn't bending the conversation on purpose. It's more just that that part manages to catch her attention. ]

In what sense? Is it because we are outsiders here?

Ah, no, not really. However, there are distinctive lines between proper and not so proper when it comes to dress. I wear my hair down, or not proper, so I am dressing like a heathen.

[ It's a complex class thing, really. He is also being a brat about this and kinda teasing her now. ]

[ Thankfully - for him, at least, not as much for her - teasing Chizuru is very, very easy. She immediately looks apologetic, as if her suggesting the wrong answer is some kind of grave sin. ]

Ah.. It's a joke, yes! [ You can't even try to pretend you knew it was, Chizuru. Please. ]

I think it's really pretty though when people wear their hair down..!

[ Says the girl who literally always has her hair in a ponytail. ]

Ah, I'm sorry, I should refrain from joking so much.

[ And here he is pretending to be a gentleman and apologizing because that's how you do the human thing, right? ]

It is lovely, but standards say that it's something only for the bedroom and when with close personal friends.

[Shouyou might have lost interest if Ye Zun had kept talking about the books, but it's the last part that captures his attention.]

Whoa, are you making a sword from the dragon teeth yourself? I thought you had to take them to special blacksmiths or something!

They're bone. [ He just looks like he is slowly counting to hundred before screaming 'I am surrounded by humans'. ]

You don't need to do anything to them besides clean off the gore, even out the coloring and reinforce them. They already have an edge.

[Shouyou, perhaps from seeing that same expression of forced patience on his teammates, has the self-awareness to at least look sheepish.]

Oh... I guess that makes sense. I haven't really seen a lot of weapons like this before coming here.. it's all really new to me.

Oh? What are you use to when it comes to weapons?

[ He takes a breath and tries to force himself from being so picky. It's hard though. ]

Umm guns, I guess? That's usually what you see on TV. Unless you're watching some kind of fantasy, then you'll see a lot of bows and arrows and swords!

All of that's reaaaalllyyy hard to get nowadays, though.

Guns. Honestly, what rubbish.

[ Because guns were just something anyone could use. Ye Zun was a little bit of a snob when it came to fighting, even if he still cheated a lot. ]

I grew up with these kinds of weapons, myself.

I won't. They might prove useful against something like that dragon later on.

I was hoping we could tap into the Cloud and bring out some webdramas or something, but I was told we need to make it ourselves. Hence writing out some books.

Yes, in theory they should be good against others of their kind
My preferred choice of weapon doesn't lend itself well to dragon fangs or claws as a rule.

[She was going to pretend she knew what the cloud was like a boss. Yeah, right. They hadn't made that when the kids came to SBURB.]

considering the size and sheer stubbornness that made it hard to get even a tooth, i'm sure that it is a powerful one
thus the teeth should prove very useful

it would have been but this whole system is just as much magic as is everything else
so no Cloud
given enough time we will probably work it out sooner or later

I have my share of l33t hacker skills but crafting an actual server is beyond me
Especially one based upon magic to some extent
I know a guy but he isn't here
