How can I know for certain that someone isn't here?
[ The voice on the other end sounds tired and distant, like it belongs to someone who hasn't slept properly in some time. That is most certainly the case, but he isn't planning on relaying the details to just anyone. He keeps his message short and to the point. He can't tell if he's too frightened or too irritable to do more than that. ]
I'm not interested in nonsensical replies. If you have an answer, tell it to me. If not, ignore this message.

Who is it?
You can ask the gods. The gods should know — Lord Odin.

Theon didn’t trust Jon before. Now he finds himself even more on edge with him. He ignores his question. ]
If they should know, they can respond to me here.
[ He has no desire to visit any gods. Gods have always abandoned him and it seems to him as if he’s been abandoned once more. ]

[ In truth, he just hates the sound of Jon Snow's voice. But Rhys really is helpful, and his response proves a quicker way to ease Theon's troubles. ]
"Ask to the gods"...As if the gods have ever known anything.

[ He pauses for a moment. ]
I mean, they probably know a few things. Just not how mortals work. Or why we're here. Outside of that, they seem to at least know ... something.
But I wouldn't rely completely on what they say, no.
