[ Turgon is covered in dust and white plaster, hair braided back tightly from his face. He's sitting in what is very clearly the basic structure of a house. ]

Good meeting all! Turgon, at your service - it occurs to me that I have been somewhat remiss, and I apologise for that. However! As you can see, I have spoken to our hosts about assisting them with repairs after the recent attack. The native folk here have never built homes of their own before, and so I fear I have become quite consumed with assisting and teaching them, and neglected to reach out to you. So! If any would like to assist, we are doing quite well with the first house, and hope to eventually proceed to repair and rebuild the rest of the damage, with time. Please do come along and help, if you wish.

I would love for you to come and help, Lady Alice. [ He beams at her ] Perhaps you could help me with the gardens? I have yet to decide the best planting options...

Ah! Yes, yes I'd love too! I'm very good with flowers!

I am sure the gardens will flower most magnificently under your care!

I was thinking of putting lions on the fountain - for my eldest brother, you see. What flowers did you think would suit around it?

Oh.. It's so kind of you to help them out. [ Not that it's too much of a surprise. Turgon was already really nice when she spoke to him before, so this seems to be in line with that. But just being kind while talking to someone and helping people build houses are entirely different levels of kindness. ]

It's probably a lot of work, isn't it?

Lady Chizuru! [ He dips his head in a bow to her ]

Yes, I suppose so. I've done it before, but I admit, this is the first time I've had to teach as I go!

No way, you've built houses before?

[ Granted, it makes sense that he could if he's teaching other people how to do it now, but that's still amazing to her - as is very obvious from her reaction. ]

That's so amazing.. It seems really complicated.

It's really kind of you to help.

That being said, I don't mind coming to help with repairs either if you need more hands.

I have some experience with repair and rebuilding. I could help, if you will let me?

I'm a ... I believe the word is architect? In my own world. [ He smiles ]

I built two cities of my own at home. It isn't as hard as it seems, truly! Once the planning is out of the way, it's mostly just hard work.

More hands would always be useful!

The last time I did something like this I certainly had more folk involved. [ He adds wryly ] But needs must.

Any aid would be most welcome, milady. Tis a large project, I know, but many hands will make light work!

Well, I think both of those things sound pretty difficult in their own way.. [ But then again, Chizuru is just a simple doctor's-daughter-turned-page. Both architecture and construction work are a little outside of her leaguem, although she looks a tad embarrassed about that as she says it. ]

It's such a lucky thing though that you ended up in this place. It sounds like your help is exactly what the people here needed.

Ok, that explains a few things.
I'm totally down with lending a hand but I don't think the way we build houses back home will help much here.
House building's kind of a personal expression on Alternia.
Actually pretty much everything's about personal expression on Alternia come to think of it.

I don't have any experience in building anything. [Happens when you're a soldier.] But I can carry materials if that would be of any help.

If you aren't trained for them, I suppose they might be. [ He says thoughtfully ]

But I've always loved this sort of thing. [ He smiles at her ] I am equally glad to be able to help them! [ And he's totally not using this as a way to Cope absolutely not ]

It does? [ He blinks ]

In truth, I suspect any aid would be helpful, as the native folk are unaccustomed to this entirely, although they are very keen learners! How do you build at home?

Any aid would be welcome. [ He assures ] There is a good deal of damage, and although I know our hosts have expressed that they can fix things, it feels as if it would be more kind for us to help out.

Oh, it just doesn't look like they're used to making cities around here so why would they be ready for repairs?

Pre-fab stuff, carve out hives from existing structures or flora in the area. Carve it to taste to match what fascinates us. Usually looks a bit like a beehive.

I think normally they rely on our hosts to supply their homes. [ He nods ]

But they seem both interested and hard-working, which is all that can be asked.

[ He tips his head curiously ] So you build with what is there? Similar to how the Silvan like to do it, it seems like, although they prefer... ah... we would say talan or flet... umm.. treehouses?

Only one fountain? Why not all sorts? And it should depend on what sort of message you wish to send! Do you want the lion to appear proud and noble or welcoming and protective?

[ Going out of your way to help others just to be able to cope with your own problems? Clearly Chizuru has never heard of that. Obviously. ]

You're so kind to say that.

[ Especially since it's not like just anyone would step up to do all this, let alone with such enthusiasm. ]

Maybe.. Well, I'm not too sure if there is anything I could help out with, since I'm not good at lifting heavy things or anything like that.. But if there's anything I could do to help, I'd gladly do it.

Well, one to start! [ He smiles ] I hope to have a fountain in every garden, if I can.

[ He considers ] Well, Findekano has always been noble and valiant, but he is generous and open-hearted. Perhaps a protective one, I think.

Yeah, they probably do that, so it'll be a good idea to teach them

My own hive was kinda like that actually, though most of the others were on the ground
